This Philips Hue Motion Sensor switches on your Philips Hue lights when you walk past the sensor. Via the app, you can connect the sensor to the Hue bridge. You don’t need a socket, because the sensor works on 2 AAA batteries. Put it on a shelve or table, or mount it to the wall with the included screw. The light automatically switches on when you walk past the sensor. That’s useful for a bathroom, basement, or garage, for example. The light also automatically switches off when the sensor no longer detects motion.
